Baseball Falls To Concordia Clippers

BRONXVILLE, NY (April 24, 2013)

 Nyack Warrior Baseball took on a CACC matchup against Concordia College, falling in a sweep 9-3 in game 1 and 9-2 in game 2.

Game 1:

The Warriors would tie the score in the top of the second after a sacrifice fly but the Clippers regained the lead in the third.

The Clippers would gain two more runs in the fourth to take a 4-1 advantage after back-to-back RBI's. Nyack would then get two runs back in the sixth after a two-RBI single closed the deficit to only a run for the Warriors.

After allowing two hits and striking out four batters, Concordia would walk away with the 9-3 win.

Game 2:

A  3-0 lead by the Clippers started off the contest. Nyack would get a run back in the third after an RBI double being down by only a run.

The Warriors would not get in any more runs as Concordia continued to extend their lead. The final score reflected 9-2.

Nyack  will next host University of the Sciences on Friday evening for double headers at 5pm and 8pm. Home games will take place at Provident Bank Park in Pomona, NY.
