Baseball Tops Dominican 3-2 in Non-Conference Meeting

Pomona, NY - The men's baseball team defeated Dominican College this evening by a score of 3-2 in a non-conference game at Provident Bank Park.

Nyack would score two runs in the 6th inning on a 2-out, 2 rbi single off the bat of Eric Roe to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead.  Cole Tobin would drive in the Warriors 3rd run in the 7th inning on sacrifice fly that scored Erwin from 2nd base.  

Dominican would rally with runners late in the game in the 8th and 9th innings, but with 2-outs Ryan Kahl would throw out the go-ahead run to end the game at 2nd base, giving the Warriors the 3-2 win.  

Zack Kamerman picks up his first collegiate win, throwing 6 strong innings, scattering 5 hits and striking out 6.  Tony Campbell picks up his first save of 2014 pitching 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.

Hilario Vidaurre, Tobin, and Phil Erwin each collected two hits in the win.

Nyack, (10-9, 3-1) returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they take on Queens College in a non-conference bout at Provident Bank Park at 3 PM.
