Pomona, NY - The men's baseball team would come out on the winning side of a rain soaked CACC contest early this evening in Provident Bank Park. The win moves Nyack to 14-10 on the season and 7-1 in conference play.
Nyack would add two runs in the 2nd inning on a 2-rbi single off the bat of Eric Roe. Nyack would add two more runs on rbi singles from Roe and John Kennedy in the 4th inning to give the Warriors a 4-0 lead. Nyack would capitalize on a mixture of walks and hits in the 5th to make the score 11-0 before the game was called due to wet conditions.
Cole Tobin would throw 5 scoreless frames, allowing 1 hit and walking 4 while striking out 5 Deacons.
Roe, Kennedy, and Phil Erwin would each register multiple hits in the win, with Roe driving in a team high 4 rbi.
Nyack returns to action Thursday when they host Bloomfield College in their 2nd CACC contest of the year at 3 PM in Provident Bank Park.
