MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Nyack College baseball team opened its 2015 campaign with a 6-0 shut out loss to Franklin Pierce University the Ripken Experience Northeast Challenge in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

FPU, who is ranked No. 19 nationally in coaches' poll and ranked No. 22 in the NCBWA poll, improve to 1-0 on the season while the Warriors drop to 0-1 overall.

Junior right-hander Zack Kamerman (Huntsville, AL) started and threw the first six innings for Nyack. He allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits, walked two, hit two, and struck out seven while taking the loss (0-1).

Up Next:
Nyack will return to action tomorrow with two more games in Myrtle Beach. The Warriors are scheduled take on Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) at 11 a.m., before playing Stonehill College at 1 p.m. FPU is slated to face Chestnut Hill at 10:30 a.m. and Molloy at 2 p.m.
