MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Warrior Baseball dropped a pair of games Saturday afternoon during day two of the Ripken Experience Northeast Challenge. Southern Connecticut State University won game one 12-2 followed by Stonehill College who captured game two by a final score of 9-2.

SCSU is now 2-4 overall, Stonehill remains undefeated 3-0, and Nyack sits at 0-3 on the year.

How It Happened:
Game 1
Cole Tobin (Dover, NH) started the game for Nyack on the mound throwing 6 innings with 5 strikeouts and 7 runs allowed. The Warrior offense was quiet, delivering only 2 runs scored by Yoni Rodriguez (Miramar, FL) and Gabriel Nunez (Carolina, PR).

The first run was driven to the plate by a ground ball hit by Dylan Schantz (Phoenix, AZ) and the second run would be batted in by Tobin's first single of the season.

Game 2
Freshman Rodriguez stood up for the Warrior offense, scoring both runs and reaching on base for two of his four plate appearances. Junior transfer from Colorado, Erik Bussey (Denver, CO) threw 3 strong innings only allowing 1 run in the losing effort.

Up Next:
Nyack will return to action tomorrow for the fianl day of the Ripken Experience Northeast Challenge. The Warriors are scheduled take on Molloy College at 10:00 a.m.
