Baseball Comes up Short 8-4 vs. Molloy in South Carolina Trip Finale

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - On the third and final day of the Ripken Experience Northeast Challenge Nyack geared up to take on Molloy College where the Warriors would slip to the Lions by a final score of 8-4.

How It Happened:
Senior Cole Tobin (Dover, NH) worked hard on the plate with an RBI single in the first inning and went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the 8th inning. Coming strong in relief, junior Tony Campbell (Katy, TX) threw five and 2/3 innings, allowing only 2 runs, 3 hits, and struck out 2 opponents.

Warrior Yoni Rodruguez scored one of the other runs along with teammates Josh Brunvoll (Gaithersburg, MD) and Phil Erwin (New Durham, NH). Rodriguez hit a triple in the first inning and scored on a single by Erwin, who then would eventually score on a single by Tobin. Warrior Brunvoll scored on a wild pitch in the 5th inning for Nyack.

Head Coach Matt Cornacchione and the Warriors return to action on Saturday, Feb. 28th as they prepare to face the Yellow Jackets of American International College (AIC).
