FLEMMINGTON, NJ - Warrior Baseball served as host to the University of the Sciences in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader played at Diamond Nation Stadium in New Jersey. After dropping the first game 2-1 to USciences, Nyack would fight to prevail in the second game and secure the 4-3 edge over the Devils. 

How It Happened:
Game 1
During the first game, USciences produced their two runs during the fourth and ninth inning. In the fourth inning #15 Christian DeLuca scored the first run by an RBI double from #3 Trevor Datz with 2 outs. In the ninth, Mark Gervasi (#49), scored the second run from a single hitted by Ryan Scholey (#25).

Nyack's offense was quiet by only earning one run in the ninth inning scored by the senior outfielder, Tino Pardo (#42) on a ground ball from senior Cole Tobin (#24). Warrior pitcher Erik Bussey played well on the mound, throwing 8 2/3 innings with 3 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk, 8 hits, and 2 earned runs. 

Game 2
Nyack's offense stood up putting 4 runs on the board to achieve their first conference win. The runs were scored by Warrior Pardo, Hilario Vidaurre and Mike Smith (2). Pardo scored the first run in the first inning by a wild pitch. The second run was scored by junior Smith (#14) on an extra base hit double from the freshman Yoni Rodriguez (#13) in the bottom of the 5th.

The third crossing the plate came in the sixth inning by Vidaurre on a infield throwing error from a sacrifice bunt hitted by Brent James (#29). The last run to secure game 2 was scored by Smith on a base hit from Vidaurre (#3). Warrior Tobin started the game and pitched 7 strong innings with 5 strikeouts and 3 earned runs to pick up his first win this season. Junior Craig Jacobs came in relief for Tony Campbell on the eight with one out to shut down the USciences offense and earned a save in the game.
