WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - The Nyack College baseball team traveled to take on opponents frpom Saint Thomas Aquinas College in a single non-conference game. The Spartans would come out on top, surviving a late threat to defeat Nyack by a final score of 6-3.

How It Happened:
Nyack was quiet beginning the game as STAC jumped in front on single runs in each of the first two innings. The Warriors got on the board when Josh Brunvoll (Gaithersburg, MD) scored on a passed ball in the top of the fourth.

STAC came up with a big two-RBI double in the last of the fifth to make the score 4-1, which proved big when the Warriors followed with two in the sixth when Mike Smith (Lynchburg, VA) scored on a Gabriel Nunez rbi groundout and Nick McConnell (Edison, NJ) scored on a 2-out single by Michael Langston to cut the lead to 4-3. STAC would add two insurance runs in the 8th and extinguish a bases loaded threat in the 9th to hold on to the 6-3 win.
