Nyack Baseball Comes up Short in Doubleheader against Wilmington

The Nyack College Warriors Baseball team competed in an away conference match against the Wilmington University Wildcats, losing both games. The score of the first game was 3-0 and the score of the second game was 5-0.

In the first game, neither team scored until the 6th inning when the Wildcats scored their first 2 runs of the game on a single to center field, advancing to second base on an error. They scored their last and final run for the game in 7th inning on a double to left center. The Warriors never reached the scoreboard. 

In the second game, the Wildcats put themselves on the scoreboard earlier in the game, scoring their first run in the second inning on a single through the right side bringing in 2 RBIs. 2 of the players from WilmU scored homeruns in both the 4th and 6th inning. The Wildcats scored their last run in the 6th inning on a single to left field. The Warriors ended the game without having earned any runs.

The Warriors will face off against Pace University in a home non-conference game on Thursday April 18th at 2PM. This will be held at the Palisades Credit Union Park.
