Women's Soccer Defeated At Queens, 5-0

FLUSHING, NY (October 10, 2013)

The Nyack College women's soccer team played in a non-conference match up against Queens College on Thursday.

The Knights would score five goals in the opening half en route to a 5-0 victory over Nyack.

Queens would get on the score board in the 5th minute and then midway through the half, the Knights would score four more goals in span of just over 30 minutes to take the 5-0 lead.

Nyack was outshot 0-12 in the first 45 minutes of play as Queens also held a 2-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Although Nyack outshot the Knights in the second half 5-0 and led 2-0 in corner kick opportunities, the Lady Warriors were unable to net a goal, allowing Queens to claim their seventh victory of the season.

The Knights finished with 16 total shots while Nyack had five shots.

Goalkeeper Madeline Barbarino (Staten Island, NY) recorded 5 saves in the losing effort.

Nyack (5-6-1, 4-1-1 CACC) will not be back in action until Saturday October 12th for their match-up against Holly Family University. Kickoff is set for 12pm on Mosley Field.
