Lakewood, NJ - Four second half goals were enough for the Georgian Court Lions to defeat the Nyack College women's soccer team on Saturday.
In the 43rd minute freshman Tauntyonah Marie-Guinter scored the lone goal of the first to give the Warriors a 1-0 halftime lead. Nyack ended the first half, with a 3-6 disadvantage in shots and Georgian Court recored the sole corner of the first period.
The momentum shifted in the second period and the Lions scored four times between the 65th and the 81st minute so that the 90 minutes finished with a score of Nyack 1 Georgian Court 4.
The Lions outshot Nyack in the second half 12-5. Sophomore goalkeeper Julianna Kranes recorded nine saves over 90 minutes of play.
The Warriors will return to action this upcoming Wednesday, when they travel to Concordia College to square off in a conference matchup. Kick off is slated for 3:00pm.
