The Nyack College women's soccer team competed in a home conference game tonight against Concordia College. The Warriors were able to play hard throughout the whole game securing the win 2-1 in the last part of the game.
In the first half, Concordia came out of the gate string scoring the first goal at a time of 8:48. Nyack had only three shots, none of which were able to find the back of the net in this half. Concordia was able to have nine total shots on goal forcing Nyack to play defense for most of the first half.
In the second half of the game the roles switched as Nyack picked up their game. They had a total of seven shots on goal compared to Concordia's three shots which was ultimately what won the game for the Warriors. At a time of 70:19 the goalie overran the ball and Shanice Rapp found the back of the net putting Nyack on the scoreboard and tieing it up at 1-1. Determined not to go into overtime, Nyack kept the momentum. At a time of 79:48 Camila Parada passed off the ball to Zion Dewerff who scored in the bottom left corner of the goal, securing the win for the Warriors.
