The Nyack College women's soccer team faced off in an away conference game today against Felician University. Nyack fought hard with 16 total shots on goal but it wasn't enough to secure the win for the Warriors, falling to Felician with a final score of 6-2.
In the first half of the game Felician was the first to put themselves on the scoreboard, finding the back of the net ten minutes into the game. No more than two minutes later Zion Dewerff beat the defender a found the back of the net on a low shot to keepers left putting the Warriors on the scoreboard with their first goal of the game and tieing up the score at 1-1. Felician dominated the offense for the rest of the first half scoring four more goals. The score at the end of the first half was 5-1 Felician.
In the second half of the game, the Warriors picked up their offense having a total of eleven shots on goal in only this half. At a time of 53:40 Milena Ricken scored the second goal of the game for the Warriors from a corner kick assist by Shanice Rapp. Felician scored again at a time of 74:41. The Warriors worked to try and bridge the point gap but were unable to produce anything promising, losing the game to Felician.
